Tomorrow night! Okay Space will be presenting their last opening of 2016 with Amy Hood, CAUCHEMAR. Showing from 7pm - 10pm.
“CAUCHEMAR is the nightmare of life, creative optimism in the face of so many hardships. Stills from a dream, those vibrant and dizzyingly viscous visions you see on the backs of your lids when you close your eyes or geometric reinterpretations of a surreal reality. They’re an observation of shape, texture and especially color that is an extension of my heart, measured by brain and fueled by my visceral fire.” — Amy Hood

It is a true honor to announce our first screen print by one of New York's most elusive and recognizable street artists, DAIN. I had the privilege of watching DAIN paint the new Cluster Wall prints titled "Flower Neck" at Kayrock Screenprinting in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Adam Dare Solo Show @ 212ARTS LES, NYC Opening 11/19 November 18, 2015 15:54
Veteran graffiti and street artist Adam DARE is back with a new series. Bombing trains in the 80’s, his broken hearted bunny began popping up on the streets of New York City and has become synonymous with street art. All About the Bunny is the first time that DARE has reimagined his iconic character, giving them personalities and traits that reflect his own multilayered experiences. His series stems from a conversation with his son Matteos, whose young, buoyant creativity dared to imagine the multiple forms of his father’s iconic bunny. With a fresh take on a celebrated vision, this show is not to be missed.

While Al Diaz will forever be linked to Jean Michel Basquiat as a co-creator of SAMO©, the hugely influential, conceptual street art project, Diaz has since long moved on. Diaz cleverly wields wit, humor and biting satire in projects that include his graffiti moniker, "BOMB 1" and his utilization of New York City Transit's 'Wet Paint' and 'Service Change' signs into his works on paper. This pop-up show also featuring collaborators like Jilly Ballistic was curated by fellow street artist Ellis Gallagher.
