Known for his gestural imagery of grizzly bears and artistic heroes, painter Chad Hasegawa elevates the medium of ordinary house paint into the fine art realm with his beautiful paintings. Taking influence from graffiti and mural art, the San Francisco-based artist creates his portraits and figures with a heavy hand akin to the Abstract Expressionist movement of the 1940s. Completely self-taught, Hasegawa has developed a multi-layered style of mixing tones and shades that is enigmatic on canvas as it is on the street.

The Quin hotel turns the focus of its popular Quin Arts series to photography in 2017 and begins the season with an exhibition from photographer Robert Malmberg opening on February 9th. Titled, “Light Waves,” the exhibition is curated by DK Johnston and will be on view to the public in the Quin lobby and drawing room through March 31st. The Quin, located at 57th Street and Sixth Avenue in New York, has earned acclaim for the global breadth and creative variety of its arts programming, recently completing a year-long series of exhibitions from leading international street artists. Activations surrounding the exhibition opening include a guided winter photography walk in Central Park with the artist, scheduled for February 11th, as well as a talk with Robert Malmberg and Mary Lang of the New York Foundation for the Arts to be scheduled at the Quin.

Curated by DK Johnston, Walker has created 25 original works exclusively for the show, including the iconic "Vandal" image. This signature figure, wearing a bowler hat, can still be seen on the Lower East Side with the words "I Love NY."

JPO Paints A Marriage Proposal Mural in Williamsburg June 22, 2015 09:02

We were enlisted by the fantastic company Sexy Bachelor Pad to help facilitate a brilliant marriage proposal.

We called upon JPO to make it happen and he went above and beyond. He braved the elements to create this incredible mural, and while it was only up for a few days, the results will last a lifetime...we are happy to report she said YES!


iHeart's solo show "#asignofthetimes" opening reception at a surprise location will take place on June 19 in Vancouver, Canada June 16, 2015 14:22


Canadian street artist Iheart made a big impact on the art world last year with his now classic image entitled "Nobody Likes Me" which quickly gained notoriety when Banksy posted the image on his facebook page.  Since catching Banksy's eye street art fans and collectors have been eagerly waiting for Iheart's next show.  Well the wait is almost over... Iheart will be having the opening reception for his new solo show "#asignofthetimes" on Friday, June 19th in a secret location which will be released on the morning of the show in Vancouver, Canada.  If you are in Vancouver stay tuned for more info.  I can't wait to see what Iheart has up his sleeves for this show!
