Beau Stanton & Logan Hicks - "Calm Before the Storm" & 1xRUN Live Print Release - Highline Loft, NYC October 22, 2015 12:22

“Calm Before the Storm,” is a two-person show by Logan Hicks and Beau Stanton, which opened October 17th at the Highline Loft. Taking inspiration from nautical superstition, flood myths, classical paintings, life changing events and the modern issue of rising seas, the artists have created new paintings, multiples, and a site-specific installation of a reconstructed ship and captain’s study. A special print release party with 1xRun will take over the space tonight October 22nd!!
Logan Hicks will be in person hand-stenciling prints and Beau Stanton will be there hand-embellishing prints. There will be a very limited quantity and they will be available that night only at the gallery. You can come by and see the process in person.
As usual Beau & Logan's styles compliment each other creating a nautical themed loft full of bold colors, large & small installations, visuals, and a sountrack to match!
Expect to see two modern masters in motion tonight at the 1xRUN event, and check out the show in its entirety.
Additionally, The boys will be hosting the event "Afternoon with the artists: Logan Hicks and Beau Stanton walk through Calm Before the Storm" this Saturday October 24, 2015 at 4pm at the same location. This is your opportunity to hear the artists talk about their process, inspirations, and anything else you ver wondered about their work.
Do yourself a favor and make it down to at least one of these events. As usual my photos do not do the work justice, and are a must see in person.
